No matter what level you’re playing in association hockey, we have a division for you. Bring your teammates or just a crew of your buddies who you like to play with and show us what you've got! It’s the perfect event to keep your skills Patrick Sharpe while having a great time playing hockey outside in an amazing mountain setting. Added bonus, you'll be training at high altitude, 9,280 feet to be exact, while participating in the largest all-ages pond hockey tournament in the U.S. surrounded by friends and family. It doesn't get much better than that!
Youth Team Entry Fee:
- $1,025/team
- U8, Youth teams must have a minimum of 4, and no more than 8, players per team
- No Insurance is included. All participants are responsible for their own personal injury insurance
U8 Divisions, Format & Game Times:
1. Beginner Teams:
- Each team is guaranteed 4 round-robin style on Saturday, January 20
2. Intermediate Teams:
- Each team is guaranteed 4 round-robin style games between 3:00pm on Friday and 4:00pm on Sunday
- 1 game Friday, January 19
- 2 games Saturday, January 20
- 1 game Sunday, January 21
- The top teams will play in a play-off round starting at 4:00pm on Sunday, January 21
3. Advanced Teams:
- Each team is guaranteed 4 round-robin style games between 3:00pm on Friday and 4:00pm on Sunday
- 1 game Friday, January 19
- 2 games Saturday, January 20
- 1 game Sunday, January 21
- The top teams will play in a play-off round starting at 4:00pm on Sunday, January 21
Pond Hockey Tournament Info:
- All games are 4 v 4 games, no goaltenders
- Games are two 15-minute, running time halves, with a 2 minute break in between
- 5-minute warm-ups are scheduled before all games
- Rink size: 80’ x 48’ utilizing 18" tall x 1" thick thermoformed plastic dasher board systems, provided by Nice Rink
- Custom, metal pond hockey nets by Nice Rink - Pond Hockey Nets
- All games played on Keystone Lake, inside Keystone Village, part of the world-famous Keystone Ski Resort
- Evening games played under the lights on Keystone Lake
- Night skiing under the lights available on Keystone Mountain as well
- 3 total U8-specific rinks
- Medal round on Sunday afternoon
- Random draw to determine schedule / opponents
